I’m Timo. Photographer from Düsseldorf, Germany. It’s fairly simple to describe myself. Because I’m a simple guy. I love my wife, I love people, Design & Art, film photography, beer, alternative music and foreign food. A perfect evening for me is simply hanging out and talking. I value honesty and authenticity and strongly believe that everyone should try to make this world a better place.
The stories I want to tell are focused on people. While an expensive decoration and a fancy location are surly great to have, I truly believe in 30, 40 or maybe 50 years from your wedding day, your are not gonna care as much about the cute candy bar you had. But you are gonna care about the people that shared one of lives most precious moments with you. You will want to feel the atmosphere again, when you saw each other the first time and you will care about that sparkle in your spouses eyes.
I want to tell stories about people. Pure and natural. With their beauty and their weirdness. Raw emotions and honest smiles. An authentic observation of what actually happened, wrapped in an artful way of capturing, to tell a story that gets better every time you look at it.
"YOU DON’T MAKE A PHOTOGRAPHY JUST WITH A CAMERA. YOU BRING TO THE ACT OF PHOTOGRAPHY ALL THE PICTURES YOU HAVE SEEN, THE BOOKS YOU HAVE READ, THE MUSIC YOU HAVE HEARD, THE PEOPLE YOU HAVE LOVED." — ANSEL ADAMS
What I want to capture is an honest documentary of what happened on your wedding day. I won’t stage any situations. However, I don’t think it’s possible to photograph such an event in an objective way either. Ansel Adams puts it really well in the quote above. It will always be an interpretation of the person capturing it. All my experience, point of views and current inspiration plays into my style of storytelling. That's why I strongly believe that it does matter, who is capturing your day. You should pick a person you get along with and trust. So I guess my style of wedding photography is: Me. But to put in a more tangible way: I capture honest and authentic wedding documentarys with a focus on people, their relationships, uniqueness and weirdness, wrapped in an artful way.
Great question. I'm gald you asked that one. The answer is cheezy simple: I love to make other people happy. Providing something of real value to others, being able to be creative and to make use of your talents by doing so, is one of the most rewarding feelings to me. I also simply love to meet new people and get to know their stories.
I have shot all kinds of weddings, and of course it's fun to travel, but the thing I enjoy the most is when I feel that couples are beeing simply themselves. When they fill their wedding with as much personality as possible. A great location doesn't necessarily make it a memorable and unique wedding. When they don't want to please anyones expectations, neglect tradiotions if they don't make sense and don't care about little things that don't work out as planned. When they simply enjoy their day to the fullest, whatever that may look like.
To be certain that I'm not booked on your wedding date contact me 12 to 4 month ahead. But I'm pretty spontaneous so if you have an emergency feel free to hit me up anyway.
I am based in Düsseldorf, Germany. A city with a vibrant food scene, beautiful architecture and loads of Art Galleries and Museums to roam through. If you ever make it to Düsseldorf or near by, hit me up. I'm always up for spontaneous shoots. I would love to meet and get to know you!
Simply fill out the contact form if you are interested in my prices & packages. Please don't be short on details here! The more we know about each other, the better. Engagagement-/ Couple Sessions start at 300€.
Don't worry about that at all. If you love each other, you provide everything we need for great photos! I'll guide you through some simple poses in the beginning and then we'll go from there.
If you feel the same about most of this, chances are high that we will have a blast on you wedding day! I would love to get to know you. Head over here to get in touch:
